In 1937, Claude Saint-Cyr (1911-2002), who had recently opened his own house on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, met the young Christian Dior, who was still unknown in the fashion world. Shortly afterwards, Dior offered the milliner his designs, which she used as inspiration for her collections.
Illustrated with Christian Dior's drawings and photos of the hats they inspired to Claude Saint-Cyr, this book pays tribute to the meeting between the great fashion designer in the making and the milliner whose creations were worn by Parisian women until the mid-1960s.
