JR (1983-) is an artist and activist who openly shows his works in the worldwide streets, touching thus a public unfamiliar with museums.
For Inside Out project, JR went from Parisian suburbs to the Israeli-Palestinian world, from Kenyan villages to Brazilian favelas, to display his portraits. Since the launch of the project, more than 200.000 persons offered their portrait.
This book studies in an original way JR's work and its most representative aspects.
