Hot spot of Parisian nightlife in the 80s and 90s, the nightclub Les Bains Douches attracted the greatest icons, including Kate Moss, Andy Warhol, David Bowie or Jean-Michel Basquiat until it closed in 2010, when the building was declared unsafe after bad renovations.
In 2013, the owner Jean-Pierre Marois and the galerist Magda Danysz organised during 4 months an artist residency with the greatest names of worldwide street art. An impressive and ephemeral collective work doomed to destruction as the place would be turned into a luxury hotel.
This book recounts this adventure to which participated 50 artists in order to pay tribute to the legendary greatness of Les Bains Douches: Sambre, Mr Brainwash, Lek, Babou, Teourk, Tarek Benaoum, Poesia, Eva Jospin, Jef Aerosol, SPE, Lek + Sowat, Mosko et Associés, Nasty, L'Atlas, Swiz, Stew, Jay One, Space Invader, Futura, Sten Lex, C215, Vhils, Skki©, Popay, Tanc, Sandra Matamoros, Parole + Sambre + Sowat, Gilbert1, Dem189, Seth, Philippe Baudelocque, Ned + Jerk45 + Stephane Carricondo, Zlotykamien, Apotre, Jeanne Susplugas, Legz, Zeer, Katre, Jean Francois Julian, Joachim Sauter, Wxyz, Psy, Jacques Villeglé, Ash, Ludo, 9eme concept.
