Giuseppe Ostuni (1907-1994) and his company O-Luce (1947-1982) significantly shaped the history of lighting design in the 20th century and played a key role in the worldwide recognition of Italian design. Despite this fact, Giuseppe Ostuni has remained a well-kept secret in specialist literature and very few of the lighting units he produced are known today, although he collaborated with famous designers, as Franco Buzzi, Tito Agnoli, Marcello Minale, Antonello Vincenti or Joe Colombo.
This two-volume publications includes the history of O-Luce's company and Giuseppe Ostuni (vol.1) and the catalogue raisonné of the 570 lighting units created by the company (vol.2).
