At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, women painter and sculptors fought to be recognized as real artists, from model to accomplished artist, as Suzanne Valadon.
This exhibition catalogue reveals women' unknown role in the artistic revolutions of 1880-1940 emerging modernity, gathering almost 50 female artists, some of them famous - Camille Claudel, Marie Laurencin, Sonia Delaunay or Séraphine de Senlis -, other less known.
