Exhibition at the Musée de la nacre et de la tabletterie, Méru, 10 September 2013 - 28 February 2014
Catalogue of the exhibition dedicated to the history of the mother-of-pearl button in Méru, a town in the Oise region which built its economy on button making in the early 19th century and became the world capital of mother-of-pearl. The button is considered as a fashion accessory in the 19th century, which will allow the adaptation of clothing to modernity, but also as an art object in its own right.
