This monograph is devoted to the work of the Dutch painter Nicolas Eekman (1889-1973). The artist studied architecture in Brussels before turning to painting and settling in Paris in 1921, where he made friends with artists such as Mondrian, Lurçat and Jacob. After being influenced by cubism, he gradually returned to realism and then turned to fantasy from the 1950s.
