In paintings or sculptures, animals have always and everywhere been represented, from the prehistoric walls of the Lascaux cave to the stained glass windows of Damien Hirst. But this is all the more important when it comes to ritual productions, whether they are African or from other continents. Objects or supports of rituals, these sculptures are dated in their great majority from the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century.
