Exhibition at the Musée des beaux-arts de Caen, originally scheduled from 16 May to 30 August 2020 (cancelled)
The French painter Fernand Léger (1881-1955) returned from the United States in the mid-1940s to settle in Gif-sur-Yvette, where he frequently painted the industrializing suburbs.
This exhibition catalogue analyses the setting of the works he produced during the last decade of his life, as well as the renewal of his style, which was far removed from his previous creations.
