Exhibition at La Piscine, Roubaix, 2007
Painter, decorator, glassmaker, illustrator and engraver, Jacques Le Chevallier (1896-1987) was one of the founders of the UAM in 1929. He collaborated regularly with Robert Mallet-Stevens. His contribution to the art of modern stained glass and the innovative design of his lighting fixtures, which borrowed materials and techniques from the industrial world, gave him a prominent place in the history of 20th century decorative arts.
This exhibition catalogue presents his work in the field of glass: religious and civil stained glass.
