This monograph, which is also the catalogue of the opening exhibition of the Musée Yves Saint-Laurent in Marrakech presents the journey and work of French Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962). His paintings, watercolours, drawings and illustrations give his look on the European and African countries he visited and on Morocco where he lived.
The book includes around thirty works by the artist loaned in Morocco to private and institutional collections.
