Luc (1893-1965) and Marjolaine (1897-1976) Lanel occupy a singular place in the decorative arts of the first half of the 20th century. Hired in 1920 by Christofle, Luc Lanel designed pieces assimilated to Art Deco. At the same time, the couple produced ceramics which met with a certain success, vases, bowls and lighting fixtures often signed "La Marjolaine".
This book presents the successive aspects of a dual career, one of the original features of which is that it is divided between industry and craft.
