Very important and significant dynasty of Parisian cabinetmakers of the 18th century, the Roussels are among the greatest of their time. The House was created by Pierre Roussel, Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris, and grew up with the collaboration of his two sons Pierre-Michel and Pierre II. They worked both for the royal courts and for wealthy bourgeois and aristocrats. Their stamped works are exhibited in France and all over the world.
Thanks to an important documentation, François Quéré describes every specifity of work in a family business and the place occupied by each member. He also explains, through hundred pieces, the aesthetic and the technics of these master cabinetworkers all along their time.
