Francesca Neri Antonello is a master in the art of domesticating natural and raw materials, using them to create a warm intimacy, essential for designing interiors for those who live with the cold Alpine temperatures. Her projects revolve around stone, iron and, above all, wood, which is often salvaged or burnt to obtain its characteristic burnished colour.

This book presents Francesca Neri Antonello's projects in the Swiss Alps, Ticino and Engadin. The houses have been renovated and refurbished, their interiors demolished and redesigned, demonstrating how the Alpine context, with its snow-covered landscapes and forests, influences the choice of colours, materials and atmospheres.
