Exhibition at the Musée Picasso, Antibes, 17 May - 7 September 2014
From 1951 until his death in 1955, Nicolas de Staël made the nude one of the keystones of his work on the relationship between the background and the figure. This exhibition catalogue highlights this fundamental aspect of his work by bringing together a rare collection of paintings and drawings, many of them previously unpublished, allowing a true rediscovery of this exceptional artist.
