Descended from a family of basket makers, Tanabe Chikuunsai IV (1973-) is dedicated to creating a new art form using the traditional techniques of bamboo basketry passed down from generation to generation.

Chikuunsai IV's recent creations dominate the space and allow the viewer to perceive the many characteristics of bamboo.
