Archives Dada : Chronique

The result of more than twenty years of research and collation of documents in German, English, Italian, Dutch, French, and even Japanese, this reference work relates the history of Dada, a movement that was decisive for the evolution of art in the 20th century.

In the first part, it gathers together the essential texts, testimonies, communiqués, posters, programmes, correspondence, writings, theoretical statements and interviews relating to the history of Dada from 1916 to 1924, the period of activity of the Dada movement. In the second part, a chronicle reconstructs month by month, with extraordinary precision, the chronological framework of the Dada adventure, from its origins in 1916 to the 1960s. The most important events or works are developed in greater depth, alongside the chronological framework.
