Elizabeth Gage

British designer Elizabeth Gage (1937-) has enjoyed a distinguished career, creating some of the most iconic jewellery of the past 60 years. Her work is admired for its combination of historical references and modern aesthetics, as well as its blend of strong design concepts and sublime craftsmanship. Featured in the V&A's permanent collection and exhibited around the world, her pieces have been worn by celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy and Lauren Bacall.

Telling the story of her rise to become one of London's most famous jewellers, this monograph presents Elizabeth Gage's most beautiful handcrafted creations, including rings, necklaces and earrings in gold, bracelets in the shape of autumn leaves, tourmaline cabochons engraved with trees, diamond-set fish carrying pearls in their tails, and Roman coins set in agate brooches.
