Guillaume Bardet : l’aventure Notre-Dame

Nouveauté

Auteur(s) : Collectif

For two years, designer and sculptor Guillaume Bardet (1971-) worked on creating new pieces of liturgical furniture commissioned by the Archbishop of Paris for Notre-Dame: a baptistery, tabernacle, altar, ambo, cathedra and liturgical objects. As Notre-Dame prepares to celebrate its first year of reopening after the fire that devastated it in 2019, Guillaume Bardet opens the doors to his workshop, where these new pieces were created.

This book recounts the human and artistic adventure of an extraordinary project. Guillaume Bardet opens up about his creative process, his doubts and his joys. All these stages, photographed by Pierre-Olivier Deschamps, from the first sketches to the installation and consecration in Notre-Dame, are presented in a magnificent photographic collection.
