Trained in classical glass techniques, American glass artist Jeff Zimmerman (1968-) creates sculptural objects and installations that actively engage with the experience of colour, light and the natural environment.
Covering the most creative period of Zimmerman's output, this book published in collaboration with the R & Company gallery in New York documents how the artist has pushed the boundaries of glassmaking for over three decades. It demonstrates Zimmerman's singular ability to harness the unique properties of glass to enhance the aesthetic and emotional experience of functional objects, inspiring a generation of collectors, glass artists and lighting designers.
