Juan Pablo Molyneux : un château en toutes saisons

Nouveauté

Auteur(s) : Jérôme Hanover, Mattia Aquila (photogr.)

A master of eclectic interiors, Juan Pablo Molyneux creates spaces that sparkle with wit whilst remaining firmly rooted in classicism. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts and the École du Louvre, he honed his aesthetic sensibility through his engagement with the masters of French architecture, whose work fuels his passion for the timeless relevance of styles. From Paris to New York, he has his name to exceptional projects. A committed philanthropist and Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, he remains one of the most fervent champions of artisan craftsmen, proving that tradition is an indispensable partner for the future.

It is in the heart of Champagne that Juan Pablo Molyneux’s art finds its most personal expression. In 2012, he fell in love with the Château de Pouy, a 12th-century estate which he transformed into a “living curriculum vitae”. In his hands, this former fortress has become a manifesto of stone and light, where nine centuries of history engage in dialogue with bold modernity amidst a thirteen-hectare park.

This book opens the doors to Château de Pouy, where Molyneux sought “to create a dialogue between [his] obsessions: the rigour of French classicism, the theatricality of Italian Baroque, and that neoclassical boldness that rejects boredom”. The photographs invite to admire the estate as the seasons change, each with its own unique atmosphere.
