This book is the catalogue of the exhibition devoted to Czech artist Frantisek Kupka (1871-1957), one of the pioneers of abstraction along with Vassily Kandinsky, Gino Severini, Piet Mondrian, Kasimir Malevich, Auguste Herbin and Robert Delaunay.
The forty gouaches gathered in this catalogue all come from the sources closest to the artist himself, notably his collector friends and patrons Jindrich Waldes and Jack Kouro.
