This sumptuous Parisian house was the house of the Dukes de Charost then of Pauline Bonaparte, before becoming, in 1814, the residence of the British ambassadors in France. All of them changed the decoration according to their tastes and personality.

This book recounts the history of this residence located Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, rich of masterworks pieces of Empire-style furniture and decorative arts, British silverworks and paintings by British artists.
