The collection of photographs in this book tells the story of a long friendship between several artists, Sam Szafran, Joan Gardy Artigas, Martine Franck and Llorens.
The book recounts the commissioning of two monumental ceramics, Escalier and Philodendrons, from Sam Szafran and Joan Gardy Artigas for two exterior walls of the Gianadda Foundation sculpture park. These four-handed "tour de force", of totally different construction and execution, bear witness to the diversity of the artist's inspiration and the perfect complicity with the ceramist that made these exceptional creations possible.
