Sculptors Claude (1925-2019) and François-Xavier (1927-2008) Lalanne are known worldwide for their works inspired by nature, made up of playful associations, tinged with humour and a unique charm. Through sculpture, the Lalannes created a tribute to flora and fauna.

This catalogue of the exhibition presented as part of a tour from the Petit Trianon to the Hameau de la Reine via the Jardin Anglais reveals the Lalanne's animal, poetic and surrealist sculptures and the impressive diversity of their fifty years of creation.
