During the 1660s, King Louis XIV slowly settled in the Estate of Versailles. The young monarch turned the castle built by his father, a modest and difficult-to-reach country manor, into a stunning palace, that became the court's permanent residence from 1682.
Three centuries later, the recent archaeological discoveries and the new technological advances allow to recreate the aspect of today completely disappeared spaces, inviting thus to a never-seen exploration of the palace. Thanks to the analysis of archive documents and thorough 3D reconstructions, these dream and power places come back to life.
