The work of the Belgian architect, interior architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen (1962–) is synonymous with modern minimalism. This book presents eleven of his most recent projects in Europe and North America, including his own home in Portugal, a number of shops, a hotel, a vineyard and a beach club, all characterised by his understated style and refined finishes.
Each project is richly illustrated and accompanied by plans and texts explaining the context and implementation of the project. Residences, products and interior designs intertwine, revealing the clear guiding principle behind Van Duysen’s conceptual thinking. Concrete, oak, marble, lava stone, dark bronze and aluminium are showcased in a way that best highlights their intrinsic qualities and creates an atmosphere of elegant relaxation, whether in an armchair, a hotel interior or a home.
