This exhibition catalogue offers a new and unprecedented history of Cubism, based on works from the Leonard Lauder Collection, the world's largest private Cubist collection. The collection, donated in 2013 to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, includes 80 works by Picasso, Braque, Gris, and Léger and is unrivalled in the number of masterpieces and iconic pieces deemed essential to the development of Cubism.
