Georg Baselitz : Revue Cahiers d’Art, 2024

Auteur(s) : Collectif
Founded in 1926 by Christian Zervos in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Cahiers d'Art was unique for its time: a contemporary art journal with a bold layout and typography, lavishly illustrated and featuring a dialogue between modern and ancient art. Discontinued in 1960 after 97 issues, the magazine was relaunched by Swedish collector Staffan Ahrenberg in October 2012.
This issue is dedicated to the German artist Georg Baselitz (1938-) and his studio, and was produced in collaboration with the artist. It includes an essay on the artist by art historian Eric Darragon, as well as an in-depth interview between Hans Ulrich Obrist and Elke Baselitz, and two large-format folded reproductions (50 x 70 cm) of two works by Baselitz inserted in the magazine.
