The design studio, founded in Monaco in 2008 by the Franco-Monegasque duo Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet, is characterised by a refined and expressive design language. It draws inspiration from Art Deco, mid-century modernism and the decorative arts to create interiors that combine elegance, materiality and contemporary sophistication.
This first monograph dedicated to Humbert & Poyet offers a comprehensive overview of their work in the fields of luxury residential interior design and hospitality. It presents a selection of international projects, including Villa Pineda on the Côte d’Azur, the Beefbar in Milan—housed in a restored 17th-century chapel—and the Josun Palace Hotel in Seoul, as well as private residences in New York, Paris, the Engadine Valley in Switzerland and Monaco.
Combining architecture, interior design and artisanal craftsmanship, this book highlights bespoke furniture, fine materials and a modern approach to timeless design, thereby exploring Humbert & Poyet’s holistic vision of contemporary interiors that define their era.
