"It has been nearly 15 years since I set out do the research needed to draw up the inventory of works presented in the catalogue raisonné. My father wanted me to act as an expert, to locate and authenticate his works. In carrying out his wish, I had the great privilege of cataloguing some 4500 works, which I plan to reproduce in 9 volumes, of which this is the first.
