  This richly illustrated book tells the story of the Jieldé lamp and of its creator. In 1953 in Lyons, mechanical engineer Jean-Louis Domecq disrupted the world of industrial lightning by creating an articulated lamp, perfectly adapted to workshop work. 
The Jieldé - from the initials of its creator -, with its revolutionary electric functioning, crossed the times, sliding from mechanical workshops to individual living rooms from the beginning of the 1980s.
