This new edition of the "marquetry bible", first published in 2003, presents all the knowledge you need to practise this art.

Written by Pierre Ramond, a former teacher at the Ecole Boulle, it retraces the history of marquetry, based on characteristic works from each period. All the methods of execution are then reviewed: block marquetry, the Boulle technique or "element by element", as well as friezing and inlaying. Shading, conical cutting, gluing and the restoration of antique works are also covered.

Richly illustrated, this reference book contains a large number of photographs of inlaid furniture and plans for making your own tools.
