L'école De Pont-Aven : Berceau De La Modernité Collection De Alexandre Et Mahsa Mouradian
Auteur(s) : Estelle Guille des Buttes-Fresneau, Adrien Goetz
Pont-Aven gave its name to one of the most famous schools of painting in modern art, to which the names of Paul Gauguin and Emile Bernard are spontaneously linked. It was in 1888 that the two painters invented the characteristics of a new style in this commune in the south of Finistère, known as synthesism, marked by the simplification of forms and the use of colours in large flat tones surrounded by a dark line.
This book presents the collection assembled by Alexandre Mouradian, which reflects his passion for the artists of the Pont-Aven group.
