Louise Bourgeois : Femme Maison
Auteur(s) : Jean François Jaussaud
Photographer and art director Jean-François Jaussaud met Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) in 1994 in her Brooklyn studio. A first photo session took place in April 1995, but with one condition: to destroy the images if the artist did not like them.
This was followed by 11 years of numerous other meetings, the last one in February 2006. In her Brooklyn studio or in her Chelsea home, Jean-François Jaussaud managed to capture the artist as she is: mischievous, joyful, committed but also unpredictable.
This book brings together these rare images, showing one of the greatest contemporary artists in her intimacy, at the heart of her work. It offers a portrait full of accuracy of Louise Bourgeois.
