While Marcel Duchamp is unanimously considered one of the artists who most influenced twentieth-century art, no exhibition had been dedicated to his pictorial works.

This catalogue of the retrospective devoted to him is based on a novel and documented approach, bringing together the paintings of the man who radically questioned painting with the Large Glass and turned the notion of the work of art upside down with the readymades that would make him world famous.
