The work of Pierre Soulages (1919 - 2022) was very early internationally recognized as one of the most important ones of the second half of the 20th century. The Centre Pompidou in Paris organised a retrospective in 2009, and Rodez, his native city, inaugurated in May 2014 a museum to house the artist's works.

This new book by Pierre Encrevé is the fourth volume of Pierre Soulages's catalogue raisonné. It gathers all his works realised between 1997 and 2013, notably some recent canvas which are part of the donation made by the artist to the Musée Soulages in Rodez.
