Vincenzo De Cotiis: Interiors

Auteur(s) : Sarah Medford, Adrian Madlener

Originally known for his interiors in which he strips centuries-old architecture of any further embellishment, creating a conversation between historic settings and his resolutely contemporary design, Milanese architect and artist Vincenzo De Cotiis has since developed a vocabulary of rare stones and polished metals to create striking minimalist interiors.

Following in the footsteps of Italian maestros such as Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa, De Cotiis works at the crossroads of architecture, interiors and furniture design, focusing above all on high-level craftsmanship.

This first book devoted to De Cotiis' interiors highlights the quiet luxury of nine of the spaces created between 2014 and 2023 in Milan, Venice, Forte dei Marmi and Paris. An additional section includes previous projects, sketches and plans for each of the interior projects featured.
