1947-2017 : 70 Ans D'expression Céramique Française

Auteur(s) : Philippe Chambost, Pascal Marziano, Arnaud Serpollet

This book traces the evolution of French ceramics from the immediate post-war period to the present day. It brings together artists - decorators, graphic designers, sculptors, turners and ceramists - including Capron, Chambost, Fouquet, Lerat, Pouchol or Jouve, Deblander, Pierlot, Ruelland, Schultze, Borderie, Masson and Schlegel; all of these creators symbolise the rise of the art of earthenware, which offered new forms of expression during the Thirty Glorious Years.

Based on unpublished archives, workshop collections and publications, it studies the practices around earthenware and stoneware, from the sculpted form to the turned form, from Paris and Vallauris, and from La Borne and Ratilly.
