Edouard Marcel Sandoz : Porcelaines D'haviland

Auteur(s) : Jean-claude Segonds

The work of Edouard Marcel Sandoz (1881-1971) includes thousands of pieces, most of which are inspired by animals. In 1915, he met the famous Limoges porcelain maker, Théodore Haviland, who commissioned small pieces to fill his kilns. Sandoz invented a new style of utilitarian objects: crockery, vases, inkwells, lamps... Nearly a hundred pieces were produced in less than ten years.

This book is devoted to these works, which were produced in very large numbers but have become very rare.
