Jacques Garcia : Château du Champ de Bataille, thirty years of passion

Nouveauté

Auteur(s) : Alain Stella

Majestically overlooking the fertile lands of Normandy, the Château du Champ de Bataille, owned by Jacques Garcia, is a true gem of 17th- and 18th-century architecture, interior design, and French formal gardens.

Built by Count Alexandre de Créqui between 1653 and 1665, the château was acquired by Jacques Garcia thirty years ago, when it was in very poor condition. The interior designer undertook its restoration to restore it to its former splendor and make it his home. The château’s rooms are adorned with a collection of paintings, sculptures, porcelain, silverware, and furniture, and the forty-five-hectare gardens have been completely recreated and reimagined.

This richly illustrated book pays tribute to Jacques Garcia’s restoration work and to the restored splendor of the château and its gardens.
