Since 2018, the LAM has collaborated with the CNRS and the C2RMF (Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France) to scientifically analyse 28 works by Amedeo Modigliani held in French public collections, using X-ray fluorescence and hyperspectral imaging.

Thanks to unprecedented technological advances involving physics and chemistry, this large-scale project led to the exhibition "Les Secrets de Modigliani", of which this book is the catalogue.
