Auteur(s) : Kevin Murphy, Herbert Molderings, Assia Quesnel, Sous La Direction De Patrick Jullien

Brother of artists Jacques Villon, Marcel Duchamp and Suzanne Duchamp-Crotti, brother in law of Jean Crotti, Raymond Duchamp-Villon (1876-1918) exhibited from 1902 at the Salon de la société nationale des beaux-arts. He presented his work at the Salon d'Automne in 1905 and was appointed jury member of the sculpture section in 1907, playing a major role in the emergence of Cubism. He participated to numerous Parisian great Salons. During the first World War, two years before his premature death, he finished his main Cubist sculpture, Le Cheval majeur.

This catalogue raisonné of Duchamp-Villon's sculptures shows the artist's contribution to the promotion of Cubism in this artistic medium. The book also includes an inventory of his graphic works.
