Recognised as one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, Yayoi Kusama (1929–) has become a cult artist thanks to her exploration of repetitive patterns and structures, particularly her signature polka dots and mirror rooms, which immerse viewers in seemingly infinite worlds.

This exhibition catalogue presents the wide range of media used by Yayoi Kusama throughout her career: painting, sculpture, installations, drawing, collage, happenings, live performances, fashion, and literature. It offers a comprehensive overview of the Japanese artist's career, which spans more than seven decades. In addition to some of her most iconic works, the book features early works never before seen in Europe, as well as new productions.

The American dust jacket, printed and die-cut with a mirror foil inside, can be unfolded and used as a poster. Minor creases or bubbles in the foil are natural effects of the material reacting to its environment.
