The result of twenty-seven years of work carried out in collaboration with an international team of researchers and scientists, Marc Restellini presents the complete pictorial works of Amedeo Modigliani (1884–1920).

This catalogue raisonné includes 100 works that did not appear in the previous catalogue raisonné – authenticated using scientific and technological tools – and has removed 15 others, due to a lack of irrefutable evidence to attribute them to the Italian painter.

Volume 1 provides a comprehensive explanation of the methodology, whilst Volume 2 offers an exhaustive chronology of Modigliani’s life and work. Volumes 3 to 5 contain Modigliani’s paintings, each represented by a full-page reproduction accompanied by a complete provenance, exhibition history and bibliography. Volume 6 comprises all the indexes relating to the data used in the catalogue, as well as a technical and iconographic index.
