New, expanded edition
Collectors Laurence and Patrick Seguin discovered the work of Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) in the late 1980s and quickly embraced his entire aesthetic vision, from architecture to furniture, becoming the leading advocates and disseminators of his work worldwide through a series of exhibitions.
Through a meticulous selection of furniture - mainly prototypes or extremely rare examples - architectural elements and demountable houses, this expanded edition of the book published in 2013 presents Prouvé's work in the residential context of the Seguin houses. A chapter is devoted to the four exhibitions dedicated to Jean Prouvé, organised between 2014 and 2022 by the Galerie Patrick Seguin, and an index of each piece in the collection, documented by archival and contemporary plans, drawings and images, completes this volume.
